§ 98-241. Water system customer categories established.

  • There are hereby established the following three categories for customers of the municipal water system, all customers shall be divided into such categories for the purpose of establishing water rates. The categories are defined as follows:

    (1)

    Residential category. All customer connections to a single family dwelling, a duplex dwelling, a triple dwelling or a four-plex dwelling, provided, however, there is a separate water meter to each unit in the multiple dwelling.

    (2)

    Multifamily category. All customer connections to a structure containing more than a single dwelling unit not serviced by separate water meters for each dwelling unit.

    (3)

    Commercial/industrial category. All customer connections not serving residential or multifamily dwelling units, but serving commerce, industry, and institutional customers.
