§ 66-28. Chief of police.

The chief of police shall have direction and control of the police department subject to the supervision of the city manager, federal and state laws, and rules, regulations and ordinances adopted by the city council. The chief of police shall have the authority to promulgate rules, regulations, and procedures for the operation of the police department and conduct of personnel.
