§ 66-27. Appointment of officers and employees.

  • The city manager shall appoint the chief of police. The department shall be composed of the chief of police, and such other officers, patrolmen, and employees as the chief of police may determine, with the approval of the city manager and subject to a budget approved by the city council. The chief of police and all other police officers, must hold an appropriate license or certification as required by state law.
