§ 14-231. License required.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to go from house to house or from place to place in the city soliciting, selling or taking orders for or offering to sell or take orders for any food, beverage, goods, wares, merchandise or services, or to solicit, seek or request donations for any cause or purpose, or on or from any public street or sidewalk, whether on foot or on any type conveyance, and whether from the person or from a stand or conveyance of any kind, without having first applied for and obtained a license to do so from the city secretary, or without carrying such license while engaged in any such activity.
