§ 98-275. Tampering fee.

There shall be a fee of $100.00 plus repair costs charged for unlawfully connecting to or tampering with any water service within the city water system. Tampering of a water service includes but is not limited to:
(1)

Cutting or removing any locking system that has been installed by the city.

(2)

Installing a "jumper mechanism" for the purpose of unlawfully taking water from the Saginaw Water System.

(3)

Damage to water service appurtenances that includes the meter, meter box, water valve or cutoffs, and water piping that connects to the customer's line in the meter box.
