§ 94-62. Parking of certain vehicles prohibited on certain streets.

  • (a)

    Parking of any of the following upon any residential street, alley, parkway or boulevard is prohibited, except as authorized in subsection (b).

    (1)

    A vehicle with a rated capacity of more than three-quarter-ton according to the manufacturer's classification;

    (2)

    A boat;

    (3)

    A trailer;

    (4)

    Any combination of connected vehicles, including trailers;

    (5)

    Recreational vehicles (motor homes);

    (6)

    Campers on pickup trucks, if the camper is wider than the bed of the pickup;

    (7)

    Construction vehicles and equipment, unless working;

    (8)

    Camper trailers; and

    (9)

    Farm implements or animal husbandry implements.

    (b)

    Motor homes and camper trailers may be parked upon a residential street, alley, parkway or boulevard for a period not to exceed 24 hours for the purpose of loading or unloading supplies and equipment, so long as they are in compliance with other parking laws and ordinances.
