§ 58-75. Dog park rules and regulations.

  • (a)

    Dog park hours are from dawn to dusk.

    (b)

    All dogs must have current rabies tags and be free of any contagious diseases.

    (c)

    Dogs to remain leashed in entry/exit area.

    (d)

    Dogs displaying aggressive behavior shall be leashed and removed immediately.

    (e)

    Dogs must be in view and voice control of their owners/handlers at all times.

    (f)

    Owners/handlers must carry a leash at all times for their dog(s).

    (g)

    Maximum of two dogs per owner/handler.

    (h)

    No unaccompanied children under 13 years old allowed.

    (i)

    Dogs four months of age or less are prohibited.

    (j)

    Dogs in heat are prohibited.

    (k)

    No food or drinks (human or canine) except bottled water allowed in park.

    (l)

    Dogs less than 25 lbs. are not allowed in the large dog area. Dogs over 25 lbs. are not allowed in the small dog area.

    (m)

    No bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards or motorized vehicles allowed in park except maintenance vehicles.

    (n)

    Owners/handlers must clean up their dog's waste.

    (o)

    Owners/handlers shall report dog bites or dog scratches of humans to animal services at 817-232-0311 (police dispatch).

    (p)

    Your use of this park is at your own risk. The City of Saginaw is not responsible for accidents, injury, or other damages of any kind.

    (q)

    The city manager is hereby authorized to post additional dog park rules necessary to protect the public's welfare.
