§ 14-131. Required.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate a massage establishment in the city without first having obtained a license therefor from the building official, in accordance with the provisions of this article, and after paying the fee herein provided. Such license shall only be issued upon the approval in writing of the city heath officer, the chief of police, hereinafter referred to as chief, and the zoning officer, after the investigations herein prescribed. The license shall be exhibited at all times in such establishment in a conspicuous location to the public. Massage therapists, as defined in Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. art. 4512k, are exempt from licensing under this section.
